He lapped up the ts"Gizmo!" from the crowd the applause as we walked around, even whenhad numerous requestspose for photographs; these were met with equal joy. He waved his wind continually ted "Hello!" his many fans I'm positive just treatedas a mobile perch! Indeed if I had not walked around with him, would probablye walked around on his own! A friend said she had seen Gizmo at the stadium enquired aswhether I was in attendance!
Say the word slowly emphasis the syllables "Hell-O". Repeat this word as ofts possiuntil the bird beginsmimic it. Oft bird wnot say the wor frontyou, until it s thaas close the sound e made. Ient many happy moments stng outside my bird room, listeningthe attempts by my parrotsget the sound right in an effortplease me, it always raises a lump in my throat, because itthen I really appreciateir keennessplease. Once the bird mastered the first word, may thdd other words or phrases, but beware, I holiday board many birdsen greatly entertained by ts they repeat.Their owners wouldmortified if they knew how much their birds tell me!

Obviously, ifr petto travel onr lder (Gizmo travels everywhere by this method) then caurequiredprevent the bird from being startled by uneted noises or sudden movements.
Again, the answer. Ie taught all my parrotsremain on my lder, by initially walking around the house garden, whilst members my familye made loud noises sudden movements, I simply touch my bird's cland say "Stay". My birds alleir wings partially clippedenablemmake trips with When first takingr bird outside I advise choose a quiet timeday, walk aroundr own garden first then progressvisiting a neighbour's house. This way tbirdgradually integrateto the fast, noisy colourful world around it without being subjected tohopping spree in the local town on its first outing!
Similarly, travelling in a car needs tointroducetructured way turdy, safe, secure carrier needs toavailable. Ideally the carrier lde water a food container. Put kitchen towel on the bottom, a favourite toy if possible. Take bird for a few s journeys first before embarking on the 40-mile tripsee Aunt Joan! A cover ldmade availawith whichcovhe carrier ld the bird appearbecome startled by passing vehicles.
DO NOTve bird alone in the car; especially on hot days, aside from threattheft therethreatheat stroke subsequent death the bird.
Of course, ld the bird escape from the carrier, could return tor carfind tha greatly depreciate value! car not the w!
